ABOUT US

There was a time when many Africans living in America were victims of an identity crisis. Half of our day was spent at home enjoying our traditional meals, speaking in our native tongues, and dancing to our sweet melodies. The other half was spent denying those very truths. We masked our accents, watered down our names, and tried to blend in, because the world was not always kind to those who stood out.

You can’t blame us, we were just kids trying to survive. To those who held firm and never folded, we salute you, because that took courage. And to those who are only now beginning to feel safe enough to embrace every part of who you are, well done.

This is a new chapter. An era of boldly living in our truth...
